Let's See A Movie!

The film "Kilowatt Ours" will be shown at the Collinsville Public Library on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

"Kilowatt Ours" Reveals the Consequences of Our Coal Powered Economy.

The film opens with Vice President Dick Cheney's energy policy speech in which Cheney makes the claim that America needs nearly 1900 new power plants in the next 20years to meet projected electricity demands.

From here, filmmaker Jeff Barrie takes viewers on a journey from the coal mines of West Virginia to the solar panel fields of Florida, as he discovers solutions to America's energy related problems. Come and collect energy saving tips, including how you can save up to $600 a year on your energy bill!

Collinsville physician Dr. Frannie Coe will be speaking on "Living Green".

Collinsville Goes Green!

Did you know that our town now has recycling bins out by Town Hall?

At this time we are recycling newspaper, cardboard and paper. In addition to that, the Library has started a Go Green Project.

Check with the library for more information on this project and how it will benefit our library.
