Quoting Coach Beckett:

On the Spring Garden game

"To me, that was one of the most exciting games since I have been Collinsville. The game featured lots of offense and lots of big plays."

On composure

"I was proud that our players stayed self-disciplined. There were times we could have panicked. There were times that the game got testy and we could have lost our head. We handled adversity well."

On the last drive

"It started with a good kickoff return to 40+ yardline. We thought they might back off. So the first play we hit them with a screen underneath and got a first down. The next play they showed full man and we were able to get behind them. Justin was wide open and CJ did a good job of laying it up to him. We had a penalty back us up to the six-yard-line. We sent Edgar in motion and he made a big catch."

On Gaylesville

"Coach Clowdis, Coach Garmen and Coach Glenn Honeycutt do a great job. Coach Honeycutt joined there staff this year after retiring in Georgia. He brings a lot to the table. He has head coached Pepperill to state championships, played on the Georgia 1980 National Championship and will be in the Georgia High School Hall of Fame."

"Quarterback Cole Murphy and tailback John David Jennings are really good. Just like Spring Garden, Gaylesville pulls no punches, they come right at you with the running game. So it will be a challenge for us to stop the run."
