Quoting Coach Beckett:

On the Cedar Bluff game

"Kudos to Cedar Bluff for a great game plan and great effort. They were very physical and took our running game away. I was dissapointed that we didn't tackle better, dropped some passes, didn't get a better rush, and didn't get a better push (blocking) up front."

"We did get some big plays passing and slowed their passing game down. Some of our kids played through some gutty injuries."

On Spring Garden

"They come in with the best start in school history. Spring Garden has a new bounce in their step with Coach Jason Howard. First off it jumps out at me how good they are up front. Spring Garden has a very physical and disciplined offensive line. They are relentless with their blocks. Obviously, they have one of the best running backs in 1A with Forrest Livingston. He will be a task to slow down."

On Injuries

"We came out of last week banged up. We have to do a good job of rehabing all week and get better. At one time it looked really bad. We've come closer to getting the guys ready to play."

On Mindset

"We knew this would be a tough game to get ready for either way. We knew coming out of Cedar Bluff would be tough to turn around and get up emotionally again. We really emphasized the caliber of team coming in immediately after last week's game. In advance we set up several speakers for the week. However, we still had one of the worst practices of the season monday. Tuesday was much better. It will be a challenge."
